It seems odd to me that wordpress would have a highly configurable comment moderation system, but no way to screen pingbacks. Fortunately this plugin that I found via Nick’s blog fixes that. We’ll see if it works.
I’m also trying the Simple Trackback Validation Plugin. I think it needs a cleverer name, though.
I have become a fan of bob the wonder poodle, the dog wearing a tinfoil hat which aspires to have more fans than Glenn Beck (the kinder gentler big fat idiot for a new century). It seems like a fairly good trade to me… the dog doesn’t have the greasy, sweaty face of Glenn, and clearly oozes patriotism and sincerity. So of course I became a fan, because I love America so much.
Well, all you have to do is blog about something and it immediately becomes untrue. Suddenly most of my gigs are canceled, and the band is practicing half as much. Kind of a relief really, but now I have nothing to complain about
