The thing about blogging, is that when really nothing particularly interesting is happening to you, you have nothing particularly interesting to blog. I mean, yes, my work is interesting. But I don’t really want to talk about that, and anyway most of it is confidential.

So pretty much the only thing I’ve been doing at *all* lately is playing music. (It does seem like I do that with every free moment.)  Here is a picture of me playing the beloved Ibanez Destroyer Bass.

If you’re trying to start Glassfish (any version) and it complains that it can not start the server or create a domain because the port is in use, don’t check the port, check your hosts file. Glassfish gives this error if the hostname does not resolve (including for localhost).

Or maybe it’s really in use or blocked. But probably not. You checked that first, right?

I’ve updated the signature generator to only pull out gaming posts, since I really only use the signature generator *on* gaming sites. It seems inappropriate to put my other ramblings into a sig.

Anyway, I hardly feel like a gamer right now. Super Swing Golf Season 2 gets more play than any of my other games, since I can play a hole when I’m working and my brain starts to cramp up[*]. And that game may get less play if I can find a good backboard for my dartboard, but the point is… I got a life and it ate up all my time.

So, if someone tells you to “Get a life,” don’t do it! It will eat all of your game time.

* – That is, when my brain starts to cramp up, I play a hole. Not the other way around.
