Character Portraits As The Gods Intended
I was grabbing some quick snapshots of my peeps in Tabula Rasa, and realized that I’ve been doing this character portrait thing all wrong. You know, you find a nice location, turn off the GUI, find a dramatic angle, and capture
Well that’s the old thing. The new thing is to show the character avatar the way the designers intended. From the rear. For example, here’s Brock Talen:
Cute, isn’t he? He still hasn’t lost his youthful idealism. And then there’s Bret:
Bret prefers armor in “classy” colors, such as orange and brown. The large moustache announces his macho vanity.
I had originally planned to show the female avatars “as I generally see them”, but ultimately decided that ass close-ups all over my character page wouldn’t make a good first impression, you know, on the ladies. So, here’s Laverna as I would see her if I wasn’t a guy:
Yup. By fall, everybody will be doing it this way.
