Beer is better when it’s carbonated.

June 5th, 2007

So, in my last entry I said my latest beer was insipid and uninteresting. Well, it turns out that it was just undercarbonated. A sweet, simple beer like that tastes better when it’s not actually flat.

And it was indeed flat. So, I cranked up that CO2 pressure, and now it’s a strong B+ beer. :)

And I’ve been running around doing PvE content in the WoW expansion. You know, I think that WoW could use a little more carbonation sometimes, too. But I quite like the PvE content. Hardcore players always disrespect their commitment to the PvE side of things, but I think they know what they’re doing. Of course, if Bliz really think WoW caters to hardcore PvPers, they’re nuts.

And my guild mates are always talking about : “Oh, now you’re level N, so you have to go do these quests to get this piece of gear because it’s UBER.” Do I look like I care whether I’m uber? See that lonely K at the very end of my bartles-and-james profile? That’s right. While it’s not a strong bias, I really don’t care as much about killing as any other part of the gaming experience. Maybe I should leave and go back to being a Joiner, cause membership rules, but not if you have to do a bunch of
stupid stuff to be in the club.

WoW with beer

June 3rd, 2007

Well, playing without beer turned out to be pretty much the same as playing with beer, except without beer. So, I’m going back to beer. And good timing, too, because my latest batch of homebrew is ready to drink! It’s a generally insipid sweet/bitter ale with no distingiushing characteristics.

Why is it that noob-hunting griefers have to use macros for things like /chicken and /lick? I mean, if you have time to jump around taunting someone 50 levels lower than you are, you have time to type some REAL tauntage.

WoW PvP: safer than I thought?

May 22nd, 2007

So, this will be new. I’m going to play WoW for the next week or so, get this, without beer. Yah! Extreme. We’ll see how that goes…
